College of Nursing Council

The College of Nursing Council (CNC) is composed of an elected student board and nursing faculty. The organization acts as a bridge between faculty and students to address ideas and concerns regarding the Wayne State College of Nursing student educational experience. For example, the CNC was responsible for initiating changes made to the HESI examination, sponsoring resume-building workshops, hosting an education fair and leading academic discussions that impact nursing students.

2023-24 CNC board members

  • Lucas Benz, President
  • Sanskriti Baranwal, Vice President
  • Eanna Mari Almerol, Secretary

Why should I join the CNC?

The College of Nursing Council allows students to maintain an active voice in the college by networking with faculty and peers. Participation also helps build leadership skills that will be a necessary tool in your future nursing career.

Meetings and activities

The CNC conducts a joint one-hour meeting with the Student Nurses' Association the first Wednesday of every month at 2 p.m. Throughout the year, there are projects, events and committees to participate in. Email the elected board with questions at wsu_cnc@wayne.edu or write to:
