Alpha Phi Chapter of Alpha Tau Delta
The purpose of the Alpha Phi Chapter shall be to create an inclusive space for students to feel connected and supported by other nursing students. This will be done by connecting students to tutoring, mentoring, and networking opportunities. The Alpha Phi Chapter of Alpha Tau Delta will bring nursing students together towards one common goal, to be an educated, compassionate, resilient healthcare worker.
The Wayne State University College of Nursing's Alpha Tau Delta chapter is part of the national professional nursing organization committed to providing an intra-fraternal spirit of cooperation by offering an opportunity for nurses and nursing students to promote their personal and intellectual growth through education, networking, scholarships, guidance, and a collective responsibility to the fraternity. Alpha Tau Delta seeks to achieve an environment that fosters excellence of individual performance, advancement of education, character enrichment, and leadership.
Our vision for the Alpha Phi Chapter at Wayne State University (WSU) is for Alpha Tau Delta to be recognized as a professional nursing fraternity that offers lifelong interpersonal relationships among students. This will be done by upholding WSU's nursing code of conduct and further through different philanthropic opportunities. The Alpha Phi Chapter of Alpha Tau Delta will support the College of Nursing to help prepare and send well rounded nurses into the healthcare world. This fraternity will exemplify the mission of WSU, by providing students the opportunity to grow and excel within an urban campus among a diverse group of individuals.
