Founded in 1945, the college is dedicated to providing the highest quality education to a diverse population of students through our BSN, MSN, PhD, DNP and graduate certificate programs. Graduates from our college are prepared to be nurse leaders in research, education and practice. Historically, the College of Nursing has been a leader in nursing education, knowledge generation and contemporary nursing practice.

U.S. News and World Report has recognized Wayne State University's College of Nursing for offering one of the best BSN programs, MSN programs and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs in the country.
