Kristin Benton (she/her/hers) is the director of major gifts for the College of Nursing. Kristin brings more than 15 years of expertise in fund development and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) with a deep commitment to healthcare, education and community. Through strategic donor cultivation, personalized stewardship, and effective relationship management, Kristin has secured transformative gifts in support of early childhood, mental health and substance abuse programs, homeless veterans, and health care programs.
Utilizing a strong focus on relationship-building as a cornerstone for driving effective stakeholder engagement, Benton provides strategic direction and management of key donors and fundraising initiatives. In her free time, Benton serves on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Detroit Chapter (AFP-GDC) and is the chair of the marketing committee for the association.
