BSN for Veterans

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing for Veterans addresses the unique needs of veteran students by providing veteran instructors, mentors, counseling and study groups. The curriculum for the BSN for Veterans students follows the accelerated course progression of the Second Career/Degree program with the majority of clinical rotations held at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center. Students are admitted once a year for the spring/summer semester.

Students with prior military healthcare experience or training will be rewarded with academic credit, however, it is not a necessary prerequisite in order to be considered for admission.

Students who are interested in the VBSN pathway are highly encouraged to contact the Office of Military and Veterans Academic Excellence (OMVAE) to learn about the services and resources available to them at Wayne State.
