Support the College of Nursing on Giving Day

Giving Day is an annual event that inspires the entire Wayne State community to join forces to maximize support for the university and causes that mean the most to them.

This year’s Giving Day campaign at the College of Nursing will focus on the Board of Visitors Student Success Fund and the Gertrude E. Skelly Emergency Fund. Donations to these funds provide valuable resources for our students and have a direct impact on their academic and career success.

Steadfast support from our community is one of the most important reasons why Wayne State College of Nursing graduates are sought after by employers throughout our region and across the country. Contributions on Giving Day are an extension of that commitment and can help our students reach new heights.

2023 Giving Day challenges and matches

The College of Nursing’s Board of Visitors, Student Nurses’ Association (SNA) and Dean Laurie Lauzon Clabo have organized special challenges and matching donations that will double and even triple the impact of any gift you make on Giving Day:

  • When 100 donors make a gift to the College of Nursing on April 13, we unlock a $2,000 gift from Dean Clabo.
  • Members of our Board of Visitors will be matching all Giving Day donations dollar for dollar up to $6,000.
  • The SNA and Dean Clabo will each match donations to the Skelly Emergency Fund up to $1,000. These 2-1 matches mean each gift will be tripled!
