Dean Clabo to speak at Crain’s Health Care Leadership Summit Oct. 26
Wayne State College of Nursing Dean Laurie Lauzon Clabo, PhD, RN, FAAN, will be a featured speaker at the annual Crain’s Detroit Business Health Care Leadership, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 26, Lathrup Village, Michigan.
Clabo will serve on a panel that will discuss health care education in the face of labor shortages, where she will speak to important issues facing the nursing workforce, college-to-career pipelines in nursing and the impact of clinical and community partnerships, among other topics.
Other panelists include Andrea Amalfitano, dean of Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine; Kevin Ball, dean and professor at Oakland University’s School of Health Sciences; and Jan Harrington-Davis, senior vice president for talent attraction at Corewell Health.
“I’m excited to take part in this important conversation about critical issues that impact our college, our profession and the future of health care across the country,” said Clabo. “It's a privilege to speak alongside the interdisciplinary experts on this panel.
