Anniversary celebrations extended!

Due to the pandemic, the 75th anniversary Welcome Home event planned for this September 2020 is postponed. Anniversary celebrations will be extended throughout 2021, culminating in a Welcome Home celebration that will be held Friday, September 24, 2021. Be sure to update your calendar!

When the college was established in 1945, it was the first American college to offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing that covered nursing fundamentals, medical-surgical, maternity, pediatric, psychiatric, public health, principles and methods of teaching, and fundamentals of administration. Over the last three quarters of a century, Wayne State's College of Nursing has seen many more firsts.

This milestone anniversary calls us to reflect upon the accomplishments and experiences of those who came before us. As you reflect on your association with the college over the years, please consider sharing your story, photos and videos. What made your time and association with the college special? Please share a story, photo or video about your time and association with the college. You can submit your memories online at nursing.wayne.edu/75/share.

You are also invited to share your story and photos of life and/or work during the pandemic online at: nursing.wayne.edu/about/warriorstrongnurse.

Throughout the year, be sure to tag your WSU Nursing-related social media photos with @wsucon and one or all the following hashtags: #myWSUnursingstory, #WarriorStrongNurse, #WSUnursing75.

We plan to share these submissions over the next year on this website, social media posts, the fall magazine, and more!
