When the Wayne State University College of Nursing was established in 1945, it was the first American college to offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing that covered nursing fundamentals, medical-surgical, maternity, pediatric, psychiatric, public health, principles and methods of teaching, and fundamentals of administration. Over the last three quarters of a century, Wayne State's College of Nursing has seen many more firsts.

On Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, members of the Wayne State University College of Nursing community came together for a virtual celebration of our 75^th (plus one year) anniversary. This anniversary is a milestone that calls us to reflect upon the accomplishments and experiences of those who came before us.

Thank you to all of those who shared their memories, photos and celebratory messages with us over the last year. While the pandemic may have altered our plans for an in-person celebration, your contributions helped make this event special for our entire community.
