Bio Sketch
Tierra Merriwether is the academic advisor for traditional BSN students. Tierra has nearly a decade of experience in higher education within multiple roles, including service as a supplemental instructor at Oakland Community College, telecommunications lab instructor and learning lab adjunct faculty at Henry Ford College, and adjunct speech instructor at Macomb Community College. Tierra holds a bachelor’s in media arts and studies and a master's in communication from Wayne State University. She also holds a level I certification from the College Reading & Learning Association. In her role advising College of Nursing students, Tierra continues to demonstrate her longstanding commitment to empowering students with educational resources to overcome barriers and obstacles in higher education and in the community.
