Bio Sketch

As the WSU College of Nursing C2 Pipeline Associate Project Director, I am responsible for the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant impementation and compliance. I also manage the WSU College of Nursing C2 Pipeline Site Coordinators as well as program part-time staff. I enjoy offering innovative STEM career and college readiness after school and summer programming to the Metro-Detroit area youth.

I am a 21 year veteran with 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant’s. As Program Coordinator for the Pontiac School District, PROJECT Synergy Works, I developed a comprehensive, engaging after school experience for thousands of participants, recognized by the Michigan Department of Education as model program. I am also  a member of the National Afterschool Association, the Michigan Afterschool Association and the Afterschool Alliance.

My passion for serving the community began as a Head Start parent and active volunteer. I have been honored as Volunteer of the Year at Oakland County’s Annual Head Start Gala and elected Chairperson of the local Head Start Policy Council. I continued my dedication to the Head Start Program through Oakland Livingston Human Service Agency as a Family Service Worker and Disability Services Assistant, providing ten years of service to the Pontiac community prior to my work with the Pontiac School District.
