Bio Sketch

Dr. Angela Bowman is a board-certified nurse practitioner. As a registered nurse, Dr. Bowman worked in the Henry Ford Hospital - Main Campus Neurosurgical ICU for more than 9 years. During that time, she was promoted to assistant clinical manager and served in that role throughout her master's graduate studies. Upon successfully passing the American Nurse Credentialing Center nurse practitioner certification boards, Dr. Bowman began working as a nocturnal hospitalist nurse practitioner at Detroit Medical Center Harper University Hospital. She remained in that role until officially joining Wayne State University's College of Nursing faculty as an Assistant Professor (Clinical). She plans to continue practicing as a contingent hospitalist nurse practitioner with Wayne Health at DMC Harper University Hospital. Dr. Bowman is a proud member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and holds active memberships in Chi Eta Phi, Incorporated, Lambda Chi Chapter, a professional nursing sorority, the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners (MICNP), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Gerontological Advance Practice Nurses Association-Great Lakes Chapter (GAPNA-GLC), and Association of Black Nursing Faculty (ABNF).
