In Memoriam: Lynette Carroll, MSN, RN, CNM (BSN ‘97, MSN ‘11)
It is with a very heavy heart we share the news that Lynette Carroll, MSN, RN, CNM (BSN ‘97, MSN ‘11) recently passed away.
Dedicated to learning, Lynette was a two-time WSU College of Nursing alumna and was working towards her Wayne State PhD in Nursing. In addition, she generously shared her knowledge as a Wayne State College of Nursing Clinical Instructor. Lynette taught Integrative Care of the Perinatal Family and Pathophysiology and Clinical Care and Management and was instrumental in the delivery of the college’s undergraduate obstetrics and the graduate midwifery program.
Dr. Nicole Murn, specialty coordinator for midwifery, describes Lynette as “a huge mentor in my midwifery life and such a good person.” As a Certified Nurse Midwife, Lynette touched many lives and she shaped the careers of many students and will be greatly missed.
