The College of Nursing at Wayne State University provides opportunities for talented, highly motivated students to pursue a nursing degree with an emphasis on preparing a diverse workforce committed to providing and advancing health care. Rooted in Detroit, the college is the optimal learning laboratory for urban health issues. Research begins with a local focus as nursing students and faculty address health disparities in the city. This work expands knowledge in similar urban areas, positioning the College of Nursing to be a global leader in health care.
