The first step in your nursing career is earning your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.). The Wayne State University College of Nursing has a long record of successfully preparing students to begin practicing upon graduation. Our graduates consistently pass the state licensure exam (NCLEX-RN) at a rate substantially higher than both the national and Michigan averages.
College students who are entering nursing for the first time can begin traditional B.S.N. studies upon completion of the pre-nursing course requirements. A minimum 3.0 honor point average in prerequisite courses is required for admission consideration. This program is 3 years long.
