Research Topic:  Falls and Hospitalized Cancer Patients.
The purpose of this multi-method study is to investigate elements of self-care agency related to falls; test the relationship between basic conditioning factors; and explore self care behaviors and health outcomes, specifically safe activity during hospital admission as it relates to the prevention of falls.

Research Topic:  Sleep Homeodynamics in HIV-Positive African American Women.
A descriptive, correlational study examining the sleep homeodynamics of HIV-related sleep disruption in asymptomatic HIV-seropositive African American women, as evidenced by interleukin -6 (IL-6) rhythms, sleep/wake rhythm, sleep quality, and daytime sleepiness.

Research Topic:  Patients' and Caregivers' Inside Perspectives: Living with a Left-Ventricular Assist Device as a Destination Therapy.
Utilization of left ventricular assist devices as a destination therapy is on the rise.  There is a gap in the literature that explores patients' and caregivers' inside perspective of living with a destination therapy.  This study aims to tell the phenomenological story illustrating the experience and meaning of living with destination therapy by producting main themes and sub-themes.
