The college has a 70-year history of teaching, research and community engagement with a focus on urban health. To continue our work in these important areas, private philanthropy is critical and depends partly on you—our alumni and friends. Each gift, regardless of size, is meaningful and important to individuals supported by these generous donations.
Without the support of generous donors who have established endowed or annual scholarships, some students would have to drop out of their academic programs. Faculty who receive endowed professorships are freed to focus on developing new nursing knowledge to enhance health care and nursing practice.
Ultimately, the support that bolsters research and academic studies makes an impact far beyond the university's classrooms and laboratories; it makes a difference on both local and global scales.
